Jana Inkpen

Administrator

Jana brings over 20 years’ experience in the nursing field to Desert Peaks, mostly spent with the geriatric community. She joined our team as the Wellness Director after making a short move from Rio Rancho to be closer to family. Building relationships with residents brings her much joy, while she cares for them.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her three children, reading books and making crafts.

Amanda Lopez

Community Relations Director

Amanda was born and raised in Las Cruces, NM. She graduated from Mayfield High School and attended Dona Ana Community College. She is married and has two amazing children. Prior to working with Desert Peaks, she was a customer service representative for eight years. She enjoys working with the community and making people smile. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family, baking and watching movies.

Amanda says, “Working in an Assisting Living community has taught me to appreciate life. I enjoy coming to work and motivating the residents to live their life to the fullest potential.”

Patrick Bazan

Dining Services Director

Born and raised in Las Cruces, New Mexico, Patrick has worked in the food and beverage industry since 1990. In the year 2002, Patrick started climbing the ladder from cook to head chef and eventually grew into his ultimate role of restaurant manager. This role took Patrick to kitchens and destinations throughout New Mexico, Texas, & Nevada. In Las Vegas, he worked in The Orleans among highly skilled chefs who shared an abundance of knowledge and expertise. Professional and life experiences have molded Patrick into the skilled, creative chef and manager he is today.
Patrick is married and has one daughter who resides in Texas with his two grandsons. In his free time, he carries on his love and passion for the culinary arts by experimenting and creating culinary techniques at home with friends and family. Patrick’s passion for humanity and cuisine are one in the same.

Angela Lujan

Life Enrichment Director

Angela was born and raised in Las Cruces, NM. She graduated from Las Cruces High School and attended NMSU. Prior to working at Desert Peaks, she was a merchandiser for several years. She has a passion for helping others and wants to help build the community and make sure others are welcomed.

On her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs, Tess and Baby.

Van Rubio

Maintenance Director

Van Rubio was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico, and moved to Las Cruces in 2014. He brings over 20 years of maintenance experience to Desert Peaks. Van has a passion for helping others and has spent part of his career working alongside individuals with disadvantages. In his free time, he enjoys spending time in the mountains with his wife and two sons. His hobbies include camping, fishing, and woodworking.
