Lana Younger

Administrator

Lana has worked with elders since she was 16. She started as a CNA in a skilled nursing facility. She eventually worked her way up to a business office position. Lana came to realize after many years of working in skilled care facilities that her true passion was assisted living.

Lana enjoys being able to build trusting relationships with the residents and their families as well as the community staff. She has the heart to serve the elderly and enjoys the time she gets to spend bonding with the residents at Greentree.

She has two young adult children and has been married to her loving husband since 1999. When not working, Lana enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, baking, and volunteering at her church.

Shirley Henderson

Community Relations Director

Shirley comes to GreenTree with over 20 years of experience in sales, spending the most recent in senior living. Shirley enjoys building relationships with seniors and helping navigate a smooth transition from Independent Living to Assisted living. She is excited to be a part of the GreenTree family and looks forward to continuing her passion of helping seniors. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her family, her grandchild and her 3 dogs Winnie, Ivy and Hank. She enjoys interior design and watching HGTV.

Stephanie McGee

Wellness Director

Stephanie McGee began her healthcare career early, becoming a CNA in 1995 while still in high school, and earning her LPN license in 1998. She started her nursing journey at a rehabilitation center before spending 16 years specializing in pulmonology. Eventually, Stephanie discovered her passion in assisted living, where she continues to find deep fulfillment in caring for others.

Outside of work, Stephanie is a proud mom and grandmother to two children and two grandchildren. She spends most of her free time at the baseball field cheering them on. She also enjoys camping, boating, and spending time outdoors with her family.

Lauren Carnes

Dining Services Director

Lauren has lived in Mt. Vernon most of her life. She has been in food service for many years and really enjoys cooking and caring for people so GreenTree felt like the perfect fit for her. Lauren loves spending time with her family and friends. She has a young daughter who is the light of her life whom she loves to spoil rotten! During her free time, Lauren, her daughter, and their family enjoy spending time outside and playing with their family pets.

Elisha Smith

Life Enrichment Director - Assisted Living

Elisha comes to GreenTree with over a decade of experience in planning and implementing activities to meet individual needs. She worked at Central Christian Church as the Middle School Pastor for eleven years, creating engaging learning experiences for students through weekly services as well as annual events and trips. She has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Master’s in Bible & Theology.

Elisha enjoys serving others with a smile. She is excited to be part of the GreenTree community and looks forward to getting to know the residents and their families while providing them with meaningful activities to enrich their experience here. One of her favorite things about her job is seeing smiles on residents’ faces as they connect and grow in community together.

Elisha lives at home with her husband, stepdaughter, and their four cats. Coffee and chocolate are two of her favorite things. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking, or playing dolls or dress up with her beautiful nieces.

Jamie Owens

Life Enrichment Director – Memory Care

Jamie Owens serves as the Life Enrichment Director in our Memory Care neighborhood, where she brings joy, creativity, and compassion to each day. She considers it a true blessing to plan meaningful activities for our residents and finds deep fulfillment in creating moments of laughter, connection, and happiness.

Outside of work, Jamie is a proud mom of six and treasures time spent with her children. Her faith is an important part of her life—she is part of a Christian family and believes in the power of prayer, doing her best, and trusting God with the rest.
