Resources
As the designated Area Agency on Aging, the Pima Council on Aging supplies older adults and their families with information, holds classes and seminars for family caregivers as well as being the home of the long-term care ombudsmen. The ombudsmen program consists of staff and volunteers who advocate for elders’ resident rights in long-term care settings.

Tucson is fortunate to have a multitude of services for seniors and their families. The Seniors Resource Guide for Tucson is a comprehensive guide for the area. Find information on health and home services to community events to professional services such as estate planning and moving assistance.
Provides on-site Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapy services. Their licensed therapists will customize an active recovery plan and be there to guide our residents every step of the way.
Physical Therapy helps with:
• Balance, walking issues
• Preventing falls
• Improved joint mobility and less pain
• Increased activity capacity
• Easier movements/transfers
• Reducing assistance needs
• Pain management
Occupational Therapy helps with:
• Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) like bathing and dressing

• Regaining independence at home and in the community
Speech Therapy helps with:
• Swallowing difficulties
• Speech and hearing problems
• Memory and orientation issues
• Changes in vocal quality or volume of voice
• Cognitive challenges: word-finding, direction-following, problem-solving
Serves as our on-site primary care partner, with an office conveniently located in our community. They work very closely with our Wellness Director to maintain residents' overall health. This allows us to quickly address any rising concerns, giving us the ability to stay proactive in managing health needs and ensuring prompt attention to any medical issues that may arise. Carelon’s dedicated practitioners form trusting relationships with each of our residents while taking a personal approach to providing care. They work alongside other healthcare professionals to deliver quality care, making referrals to specialists whenever needed.
