Ashley discovered that serving others was a passion of hers when she was a young girl. She would jump at any opportunity to help her grandparents volunteer in their community by providing meals, school supplies, holiday baskets, and support services to any person or family who could use a helping hand.
Ashley’s career in senior care began in 2001, when her mother hired her to wash dishes and do laundry in a nearby assisted living community. In the years leading up to her time with Blossom Vale, she had the great privilege of serving seniors with Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Blossom Vale has been Ashley’s extended family since 2012. Ashley says, “What I love most about Blossom Vale, is the opportunity to serve such a great group of residents, their families and the amazing team members every day.”
The greatest loves in her life are her husband, two sons, daughter and two big cats. In Ashley’s free time, she enjoys going on adventures with her family, hosting game nights, reading, and exploring the beautiful sites California has to offer.
Danielle has worked at Blossom Vale since 2014. Throughout the years, Danielle says she has had the privilege to meet so many families and have cared for their loved ones. It brings her happiness to know that she can make a difference in someone’s life with a small gesture and a positive attitude.
She began at Blossom Vale as a caregiver to work her way through college. As the years passed, Danielle went from a Caregiver to a Lead Medication Technician, Resident Care Coordinator, Business Office Coordinator, and now as the Wellness Director. Having the ability to grow within a community has given her an overall appreciation of Assisted Living and excitement for what is next to come.
Chrystal is currently the Team Coordinator at Blossom Vale. This position is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and team member appreciation for our Wellness Team. Her very first job was as a caregiver in this very community, back in 2009. She has since held many roles within Blossom Vale, including med tech, wellness coordinator, and concierge; she appreciates the knowledge each role has given her. This was her very first job and she was unsure if she could handle the emotional aspect of being a caregiver. Chrystal strives to make the best impact she can on our residents lives and cherishes all the amazing moments they create in her life. It is the joy of those memories where she knew this is what she wanted to do.
Chrystal enjoys spending time with her husband and their three amazing daughters Ilianna, Julianna, and Annaliyah. They enjoy taking family vacations, and also love just having good old family time at home. She loves being able to bring her children in for work events and having them bond with the residents. It brings joy to her heart when the residents ask her to bring her daughters to an event. Chrystal loves the feeling of being connected with her extended family here at Blossom Vale.
Joining the Blossom Vale team in 2020, Beth is newer to the senior living industry. She has worked with elders throughout her professional career and most recently the past 12 years in the hearing health care field. Serving as Hearing Aid Technician, Office Manager and Director of Patient Coordinators. At the young age of twenty, Beth started her own contracting business in 2000. She owned and operated it until 2008.
Beth can be found spending her time with her two children. Beth and her partner David, have a passion for gardening and enjoy the outdoors. She has an intense love for the ocean, exploring, classic cars, antiques, history, books, documentaries and family genealogy. She hopes to have a mini farm one day.
Beth’s favorites quotes are “Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.”- Buddha
“If you love life, don’t waste time, for time is what life is made of.”- Bruce Lee
Patrice began working at Blossom Vale in 2008. It has been an incredible experience for her. According to Patrice, “I can truly say that I have gained another family.” Patrice feels strongly that the residents at Blossom Vale have made a tremendous impact on her life.
Patrice began working in assisted living part-time as a utility worker while attending culinary school at San Joaquin Delta Collage. Shortly after graduating from the culinary program, she was offered a management position. In 2002, Patrice had a son, and said, “With all the great wisdom each resident has shared over the years, I have raised one incredible kid headed to pursue a career in engineering.”
One of Patrice’s favorite things to do at Blossom Vale and also during her free time is to host events. Seeing everyone come together, enjoying the food, and creating great memories, is a great feeling.
Ivan Estrada is the Maintenance Director at Blossom Vale Senior Living. We are fortunate to have a person with his knowledge and skills; he is a certified Mechanical Engineer. Ivan’s work experience ranges from working for the City of South Lake Tahoe as an irrigation specialist, to working as a Maintenance Director at a local Memory Care, which was his first experience working in senior living, and where he realized his passion for helping and serving seniors.
Ivan and his wife, both come from beautiful South Lake Tahoe. Ivan married his high school sweetheart and they tied the knot in 2012. Together, they have three wonderful children; Ava, Avan and Axton. In Ivan’s spare time he enjoys watching football, barbequing, watching the kids play soccer, training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and spending time with his friends and family.
Ivan’s motto in life is to “Do it with passion or not at all.”
Hi! My name is Matilda, and I am a canine resident at Blossom Vale Senior Living. I was born in 2018 and came here with my mommy in July 2019. I am the sixth basset hound she has owned. She loves our breed because of our long ears and lovable nature.
Life is pretty good here. I get a walk three times a day. I have lots of people-friends, so I have no shortage of belly rubs and pats on the head. I have many canine-friends too! For some reason all the cats seem to run away when they see me coming.
Besides playing with my favorite stuffed weasel toy, my favorite thing to do is jump on Mommy’s bed each evening, find a cuddle spot next to her, and sleep.
My job is to protect my Mommy – and since I know when she isn’t feeling well, I help her by being a good lovable Basset Hound. I hope all of my kisses will help her.
