Leha began her career in the healthcare industry at the age of 17. She became CNA certified and worked as a CNA for 5 years. During that time, Leha had her son and decided she needed to further her career. She always loved caring for the elderly and decided to pursue her nursing degree. After graduating from LPN school Leha became a pediatric home health nurse for about a year. Though it was a great learning experience, her heart was not in it. Leha then went on to get a job at a local nursing home where she worked for 5 years and loved it there, but an opportunity arose for a position at Garden Place and knew she couldn’t pass it up. She started working at Reflections at Garden Place a Memory Care Community in 2014. Leha’s roles have transitioned from a night nurse, to Assistant Director and then Executive Director. In 2021, she transitioned into Garden Place of Waterloo as their Executive Director and couldn’t be happier to help and serve the community that she lives in. Leha is originally from Red Bud, Illinois but has been a resident of Waterloo since 2004. "When I am not working, my family and I enjoy camping, Jeeping, going to concerts or watching live music, and being with friends and family. I have been married to my wonderful husband since 2009 and we have two amazing sons. I am truly blessed and thankful to be a part of the Garden Place family."
