“The world is before you, and you need not take it or leave it as it was when you came in.” James Baldwin
Angelina lives her day-to-day life inspired by the quote by James Baldwin. Angelina does not take life for granted, and her passion and purpose for making the world better led her to the senior industry over twenty years ago. Growing up in the military service, bouncing around to wherever her father was stationed, Angelina developed a great appreciation for culture, diversity, and history.
Angelina was introduced to caregiving as a young girl when her great grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at the age of 80. Every weekend Angelina and her family cared for her grandmother and loved her. Angelina’s first job was in the kitchen in a nursing home. She knew this was her purpose and attended Chaffey college and became certified as an Activity Director. She studied gerontology and sociology at Crafton Hills college.
Angelina says, “I am blessed with the opportunities to hear the life stories, the advice, the encouragement, and the inspiration which has molded me to who I am now. I am grateful to be here at Wildwood Canyon Villa where I can be a part of a community where like minds meet daily to love, care for, learn from and grow as a united family."
