Judy began her career working with developmentally disabled and autistic individuals right out of high school. She became a CNA in 1994 and worked for various resident care communities, as well as a live-in senior foster manager. Her passion for serving residents led her to dedicate her career to providing compassionate care for seniors in assisted living.

She joined Lone Oak Assisted Living in 2000 as a caregiver, then worked her way up to Medication Technician, and into Health Services management as the Resident Care Coordinator. With a commitment to make a difference inside and outside the workplace, Judy became a foster mother in 2011 and subsequently adopted three sons. Judy’s hobbies include spending time with her husband and family and volunteering in her community.

Ashley is the Wellness Director at Lone Oak Assisted Living where she leads a dedicated team focused on person-centered care and medical support. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in December 2019 and her Master of Science in Nursing Education in January 2024. Ashley stepped into leadership in December 2020 and found her passion in elder care, inspired by her great-grandfather—who raised her—and the challenges he faced as he aged. That experience drives her commitment to ensuring every elder is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. Originally from Reno, Nevada, Ashley spent most of her life in Arizona before making Oregon her home in 2021. Her diverse nursing background includes labor and delivery, corrections, tribal health, and long-term care. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys playing guitar, singing, listening to all kinds of music, spending quality time with her family, and participating in water activities whenever possible.

Katauna began working in 2009 and explored various career options, including housekeeping and retail management. She started at Lone Oak Assisted Living in 2016. Lone Oak quickly noticed her talents and promoted her to various roles ranging from Medication Technician, Resident Care Coordinator and Staffing Coordinator. Throughout the years working at Lone Oak, Katauna realized her passion and love for healthcare. She says it’s the hardest and most rewarding job, and the connections that she continues to build are heartwarming and drive her to become a more selfless person. Katauna enjoys spending time with her daughter who has grown up in the Lone Oak community since birth.

Duska began her journey in healthcare in 1997 when her mother-in-law required caregiving, and Duska’s passion for helping others was ignited. She learned the importance of excellent caregiving, including how to manage wound VAC treatments. She knew caregiving was the career path she wanted to pursue. Duska officially began her caregiving career in 1998 when hired as an in-home caregiver in a group setting, providing direct care and administering medication management. After 10 years, she transitioned to a facility setting where she found her true calling in senior care. In 2012, Duska moved to Oregon to help care for her mother, and two years later she joined Lone Oak Assisted Living. She says Lone Oak is more than a workplace to her, it’s a second home. Born and raised in Oklahoma, Duska met her husband at 16, married at 17, and they remain happily married today. They raised three daughters and are the proud grandparents of two grandchildren.

Wes began working for Lone Oak Assisted Living in 2022. He enjoys working in healthcare environments because it offers him the opportunity to use his education in gerontology and social work.

His career began while still in college, and to pay for college, he worked in and managed restaurants. His wife was also attending college, and when she graduated with a degree in the healthcare industry, Wes went to work for a local hospital and remained there for 19 years as the Nutrition Service Director. Wes is a Certified Dietary Manager, CDM, and Certified Food Protection Professional, CFPP.

During his time off, Wes loves gardening most of all. He is a knife collector of fantasy knives and movie production knives, and he enjoys visiting his daughter and grandson on the Oregon coast.

Danielle is an Oregon native and has lived in six states, which she believes developed her appreciation of diversity. Her love of elders began at home when her grandmother lived with the family and shared stories, jokes, and played jazz music, danced, and laughed. Danielle plays piano for the residents at Lone Oak and says her love of music comes from her parents, who were always singing and playing music at home.

She began offering piano lessons at age 11 and working as a caregiver at age 19. Her passion for teaching and nurturing children bloomed into teaching summer-school and after-school programs. She uses her skills as a teacher and caregiver in her role as Life Enrichment Director. Danielle is the mother of four sons and believes her purpose in life is to be a blessing of love, encouragement, respect, and to make people smile and laugh!
