Kristine had acquired her bachelor’s degree in Sociology at Ball State University, then worked in the mental health field for years before then getting her master’s degree in psychology. She has also been an LPN in a variety of settings with the geriatric population for over 17 years before getting her administrator license. On her off time, she enjoys going for hikes and spending time at the beach with her dog, Jack. She also creates art pieces from her beach finds and sells them on her Etsy shop.

Cindy Benton
Community Relations Director

Cindy graduated from Brigham Young University in Communications-Advertising and worked with radio advertising in Eugene. She then transitioned to community relations with the local cable company, where she supported non-profit organizations and appears on the national state with Jerry Lewis Telethon for MDA. She later worked with the American Diabetes Association and the Alzheimer’s Association managing events and programs. This is when she got acquainted with senior living and became the Community Relations Director at Junction City in July 2022.
Cindy is married and has a stepson and two grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, home improvement projects, sewing, and caring for her Cavalier King Charles dogs, which she shows and raises.

Cyndi Lou graduated from the University of Denver’s Morgridge College earning her master's in library and information science. This gives her the unique ability to structure and organize the Business Office at Junction City Assisted Living. With her combined experience in direct care and management she has jumped in wholeheartedly here in her hometown. When she is not in her office, she is busy at home taking care of her two young boys and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.
Connie Shimon
Resident Care Coordinator

Connie is our Resident Care Coordinator here at Junction City Retirement and Assisted Living. She handles the organization of the medications and wellness of our residents living in our assisted living community. She is a very organized and works with our care staff to provide our residents with a comfortable and homelike environment, akin to home.
Connie loves outdoor activities like camping, snowboarding, and traveling, but her favorite thing is spending time with her family. She has two adorable children, a boy and a girl, as well as a dog named Silver. She frequently brings Silver to work, and the residents adore her.
Sarah Spencer

Sarah has been with Junction City Retirement and Assisted Living since 2012. She enjoys preparing delicious home-made food for the residents. Sarah is married and has 7 children and 7 grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family and participating in fun outdoor activities like camping and swimming. Sarah was born in Oregon, grew up in California, plays the flute and loves pizza, spaghetti, and cheesecake.
Caitlin Knutson
Life Enrichment Director

Caitlin is from Central Oregon and has lived in Eugene and surrounding areas since 2012. She is our “Official Fun Haver” here at Junction City Retirement and Assisted Living. Since 2010, she’s been in various roles in senior care and has also supported individuals with Autism and learning disabilities. She adores outdoor activities like camping, hiking, fishing, and beachcombing, along with reading poetry. Above all, she treasures spending time with her family, especially her daughter, Freya, who she says is her heart.
